Black Hole

"What do you see when you look in the mirror?" she asks me. She - breathes down my neck; warm air collides with my cold skin. I - alone. "I do not know." I shake my head. "Frail human body, perhaps?" "No, no, no, All I see is a black hole, I want to scream into it." "It would eat you if you came any closer." Don't come any closer." she isn't here. I'm alone. I don't know her. She knows me…she thinks she knows me. Chills scratch my skin; it crawls up my spine like a centipede on a wall, tiny and thin steps that emit a tingling sensation through the receptors in the mucous membrane of my thin skin. I want to touch the mirror, but the repulsive force prevents me. Is that a good sign? Is that her; an icy and unknown presence that visits me? “They will eat you...” Two humble words I must admit. The truth they carry is painful and absent. Could this black hole really eat me as it warns me? I wouldn't say... rather, sw

Me, Anxiety and You

Image
*this is very short and not like something that I usually write, but I felt like wanting to share it. Please be warned that I talked about my experience with anxiety, so read if you feel comfortable* 2 I was drowning, deep inside of myself. Not being able to catch a breath because of the nerves that swelled so big that I could not feel myself anymore, that was the point I thought I was gone.  Anxiety. 2 It is so hard to understand why your mind starts to control your breathing in such a way that you are neither drowning, neither choking. I would be lying in the bed, but I would feel like I am sitting on the edge of the cliff, fearing I would fall.  Anxiety.  2 You feel like falling but you are not. You are just floating somewhere in the air while your blood boils and your body feels like it is in the pressure cooker.  You wouldn’t understand.  3 You said “You will be fine”; but I wasn’t… I told you I was having a breakdown and you said it would be fine. I told you it was because of y

Candles and Roses

Author's note: I recommend reading this story with this melody playing in the background - "Game of Thrones Music & Ambience  |  Winterfell Snowfall at Dusk" As I was writing, I was listening to this melody the whole time, so I believe this story would be best experienced with that melody playing.  Thank you!       The music was playing. But this music wasn't like any other, this music couldn't be heard by most people in the room. The melody that was playing was inside of my heart, making my heart race like crazy. Then, there was a smell; the scent of freshness, sadness, and love overwhelmed my body. I've never felt anything like it, it was a scent of unfamiliar grief. Cold air swept through my lungs and itched every cell of my flesh.  I wasn't sure if that feeling was caused by the cold air or the darkness that couldn't leave my body; not yet.      The cold wave wasn't there for long, because the warmth of nature soon came along. The beams of

2017 VS 2020 - Three Years Difference in Writing a Short Story

Try and Fail. Try and Fail. Try and Fail.    TRY AND SUCCEED              Your first story doesn't have to be failure, there is now written rule that with your first try it won't be good - BUT! And that is a big but, with every next try you will be better, your writing will be better, so keep going and never stop writing.    The following story is the first story I have ever wrote (beside essays for school). I was sixteen years old at the time. Enjoy! 🤗 12.05.2017.     Hi, this is the book. Yes, it's me, fat, old and frayed covers full of white and rough paper, but, also full of wisdom. I'm standing on the shelf, tottering and dusty shelf. Any minute now I fearing that I am going to fall, but I'm holding up. My friend is helping me not to fall. Yes, my friend is a nail, a gray, metal and rusty nail. But he doesn't talk a lot. I'm lonely. Why not hang out with other books? I think they don't like me. They keep looking askance at me. I

Editing - Steps to take when editing!

Image
You finished writing your book, and you wonder what's next? I am here to help you take your book to the next step and start editing!           I struggled a lot before I learned the best way to edit my book so I wouldn't struggle as much as used to.       I heard many times that pantsers have a bit more work to do when it comes to editing, unlike plotters. But, I believe that with the steps I will enlist you will edit your book with ease! First Stage First step      The first thing I do when I finish my manuscript (the way to call your unpublished book) is that I alter it.      This is what I usually go through that you also may have experienced - I don't focus too much on the grammar when I am writing. I am more focused on the execution of the story so that any idea wouldn't leave my mind when I am inspired. That being said, there are always so many words that weren't spelled right, there are sentences that I change, sometimes there are paragraphs that I want to ch

Q&A - Questions you may have been asking yourself!

Image
When writing a book, you ask yourself a lot of questions, because it is not easy! I sometimes have a lot of questions, like - how to describe this? Should I say this, or not? How to explain this? And many more, but there are more precise questions about writing that I want to answer that may help you!        I gathered some of the questions on google. You may have been asking yourself these questions, or you tried to find the answers for them on google - whichever way, I am here to answer some questions that I have found on google and some that I have thought of my self.  1. Does my story need an Antagonist - Or can Protagonist be his own Antagonist?      Writing is Art - I don't believe in many rules when writing -  you should write what you believe is right! If you can write a damn good book without an antagonist, well... then go for it! Your main character doesn't have to have a person who is going to be there to make their life miserable (for example). The obstacles the

Lack of Inspiration? - Let's get inspired!

Image
Imagine this, you are writing your book, all of a sudden you run out of ideas and don't know what to do... I have some advice to help you get inspired!      We all feel uninspired sometimes, am I right? We desperately want to create - to draw, to write, to make music... but, we are not progressing because of the lack of inspiration. Throughout the years I have been writing I found the best solutions to help me get inspired and to get back to my game!      All writers have a writer's bloc at some times and we try everything just to get that little image in our heads for the next scene, chapter or even a breakthrough! I want to share some of the tips that I use to get me inspired when I feel like - WHAT THE HELL SHOULD I DO NOW?!        First - Reading      Reading books is something that is a MUST when writing. If you read, you learn. You learn new words - words that you maybe don't use in your everyday life. Those words may get you inspired! Take this as an example, thi
